EXCURSIONS

The most beautiful beaches along the coast, from Morro de Areia to Santa Monica, the characteristic inland villages such as Povaçao Velha and Fundos das Figueiras, the charming village of Spinguera to stop for lunch, the Viana desert even at night to admire the starry sky in untouched nature… these are just some of the opportunities to take advantage of if you want to fully experience Boavista.

Ca’ Nicola can organize various excursions recommending, depending on the type, a pick-up with a private driver, a quad, a buggy, or a boat.

The pleasures of the table

From the chiringuitos on the beach to restaurants offering excellent fish as well as meat dishes… the island will not disappoint lovers of good food, at any time of day. During the day, those who want to eat on the beach can choose between the grilled specialties at Tortuga, Cape Verdean dishes at Alisios, salads at Bahia, carpaccio at Agua, or the buffet at Morabeza, all located along Estoril Bay.

At sunset, the best aperitifs are accompanied by Cape Verdean music. One in particular: Te Manche’, a picturesque container directly overlooking the pier that, alongside cerveja, offers potato croquettes and fried moray eel.

And as evening falls, walking along the seafront towards the square in Sal Rei, just 300 meters from Ca’ Nicola, you will find several restaurants and typical churrascarias: from excellent grilled fish, meat, or seafood to raw delicacies featuring exquisite carpaccio and tuna or wahoo tartare.

Naturally, there is no shortage of options for vegetarians, who can alternate between vegetable and goat cheese appetizers and various local dishes. In Boavista, local cuisine merges with the creativity of Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish recipes, offering plenty of alternatives for the most curious palates.

Finally, on full moon nights, a walk through the illuminated desert is an experience that will stay in your memories for a long time.
